Lions, Sean Jones Agree To Deal
The Lions have agreed to a one-year contract with free-agent safety Sean Jones.
Originally selected in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft out of Georgia by the Browns, Jones has started 85 of 107 games and totaled 513 tackles, four sacks and 17 interceptions during his eight-year NFL career.
Titans, Michael Griffin Agree To Multiyear Deal
The Titans have agreed to terms on a multiyear deal with safety Michael Griffin after tagging the five-year veteran as their franchise player back in March.
The Titans announced the deal Tuesday shortly after the end of their first session of a three-day minicamp.
Eagles, Cox Reach Agreement On Contract
The Eagles have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with first-round defensive tackle Fletcher Cox.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but the four-year contract has an expected value of just more than $10.2 million, all of which would be fully guaranteed.
The Eagles would also have an option for a fifth season.
Report: Cowboys Reach Deals With Three Picks
The Cowboys have now started signing their picks from the 2012 NFL Draft.
It is being reported that Dallas has signed three of their seven selections to four-year contracts.
The team signed wide receiver Danny Coale, a fifth-round pick, tight end James Hanna, a sixth-round pick, and linebacker Caleb McSurdy, a seventh-round pick.
Ravens, Bobbie Williams Agree To Deal
The Ravens have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with veteran guard Bobbie Williams.
Williams, 35, was a mainstay at right guard for the Bengals since 2004.
Chargers Agree With Ronnie Brown
The Chargers have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with running back and former first-round draft pick Ronnie Brown.
Brown spent the 2011 season with the Eagles, where he played in all 16 games as a backup to starter LeSean McCoy. Brown started two games for the Eagles and finished the year with 136 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
A former Auburn Tiger, Brown was the second overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Dolphins. In six seasons for the Dolphins, Brown rushed for 4,815 yards and 36 touchdowns, while catching 184 passes for 1,491 yards and a pair of scores.
Brown posted his only 1,000-yard season in 2006, rushing for 1,008 yards for the Dolphins. He earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2008 after scoring a career-high 10 touchdowns, while rushing for 916 yards.
Entering his eighth NFL season, Brown has played in 92 career games with 73 starts.
Patriots Give Gronkowski $54M Extension
The Patriots have awarded Rob Gronkowski the richest contract for a tight end in NFL history.
Gronkowski has agreed to a six-year, $54 million deal.
The contract includes $18.17 million guaranteed.
"This is a rare deal," said Drew Rosenhaus, Gronkowski's agent. "Thanks to Mr. Kraft and Coach Belichick."
Report: 49ers, Goldson Separated By $1M
The 49ers and safety Dashon Goldon aren't far apart on a new contract, but that doesn't mean a deal will be reached.
Goldson wants a contract with an annual average of $8 million, according to a source. The 49ers probably are not be willing to go more than $7 million per year.
Goldson was given San Francisco's franchise tag earlier this year, and is scheduled to earn $6.212 on a one-year deal if the two sides can't hammer out an agreement by July 16.
Texans Reach Deals With Ball, Forsett
The Texans have reached contract agreements with cornerback Alan Bell and running back Justin Forsett.
Ball, 27, played five seasons for the Cowboys. He'll be reunited with his former Dallas coach, Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips.
Forsett, 27, gives the Texans three veteran running backs with Arian Foster and Ben Tate. Forsett worked out for the Texans last week.
